The University of Tyumen (UTMN) also known as Tyumen State University is one of the best universities in Russia. At UTMN, we effectively combine innovative and flexible approach to education and traditions developed over 90 years of work. More than 20,000 students study at the university, including 1,900 international students from 40 countries. There are more that 1,500 Russian and international lecturers, 70% of the staff are Doctors of Sciences and PhD.
The structure of UTMN includes 15 modern educational buildings, library center (library fund - more than 2.5 million books), 27 laboratories, 3 branches and a developed sports infrastructure (15 sports halls and gyms, winter sports center, 4 centers of practice and recreation, a modern sports center).
To those students who do not speak Russian, the University offers to take a Russian preparatory course with a specialization (economics, humanities, engineering, natural sciences). In one year, students will master spoken language, learn about the Russian culture and will be ready to pass the entrance exams to UTMN.
UTMN offers accommodation in comfortable dormitories located in the historic city center. The students live in one, two and three-bedroom apartments, equipped with all necessary domestic appliances and of course, Wi-Fi. There also are lounge rooms and computer classes for studying, kitchens and laundry rooms. The cost of living varies from 2,000 to 4,000 rubles.
The University of Tyumen provides all students with full visa and migration support. The department of services and support for foreign students provides comprehensive assistance beginning from their application to UTMN until the end of their studies, including information about admissions, their arrival to Tyumen, dormitory check-in and other. Our students are unlikely to meet the language barrier at UTMN because we have created a favourable condition to avoid such a problem. The University of Tyumen has established the Center for Latin America and the Caribbean Countries, the Korean Center, the Arab Center, the Regional Centre of Franco-Russian Cooperation, the Chinese Center, the German Center, the Hungarian Cabinet and the Association of International Students. They organize cultural events, help students to take part in educational and social life of the university and the city, assist in solving everyday problems.
